Attorney- Legal Research and Writing

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented associate attorney with a passion for legal research and writing to join our team. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal memoranda, pleadings, and other legal documents, as well as assisting with trial preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough and effective legal research using a variety of research tools, including online databases, treatises, and other legal resources.
  • Analyze and synthesize complex legal issues, statutes, regulations, and case law to provide clear and concise legal guidance to senior attorneys and clients.
  • Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with exceptional writing and analytical skills.
  • Review and edit legal documents prepared by other attorneys and legal staff. 
  • Stay current with legal developments, including changes in laws, regulations, and judicial
  • decisions, and keep other attorneys and legal staff informed of relevant updates.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to provide exceptional legal services to clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in the state where the position is located.
  • 1-3 years of experience in legal research and writing.
  • Strong research skills and experience using legal research databases and resources.
  • Exceptional writing and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex legal issues effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
